Bici da corsa

Racing bike

The Maremma, with its hilly, low-traffic landscape, is an ideal place to ride a bicycle, especially a road bike: there are many back roads that wind through the hills, with little traffic and surrounded by the nature of the Tuscan countryside.

A particularly good area is the Colline Metallifere north of Grosseto, where there are climbs and descents for all levels, with twists and turns covered by the Giro d'Italia. Challenging routes such as the climb to Mount Amiata can be done, or shorter routes between villages such as Scansano, Magliano and Pereta.

The coastal area also offers excellent racing bike routes, with roads that run along pristine beaches and dense Mediterranean scrub: from Alberese you can pedal to Argentario, and from Castiglione della Pescaia to Puntala and the beaches of Vetulonia, with splendid views in all seasons.

The variety of natural landscapes of the Maremma meets the needs of all cycling enthusiasts, from beginners to experts: cycling here means an authentic experience, in contact with the beautiful Tuscan nature.
